The Chaffee Housing Authority (CHA) has announced that its board of directors has unanimously approved Marjo Curgus as the Interim Executive Director. This six-month interim position aims to provide support and leadership for CHA staff and board members, as well as facilitate effective communication with the community leading up to the November ballot measures.

The CHA is a multi-jurisdictional housing authority dedicated to addressing housing accessibility and affordability issues in Chaffee County. The board anticipates recruiting a permanent Executive Director early next year.

CHA has proposed two significant questions for the upcoming November ballot: a de-brucing measure to lift TABOR limitations and a .5% sales tax increase. These measures aim to secure funding for major housing programs and development projects.
