The Salida City Council met for a work session last night where they discussed personnel manual updates, climate change and an increase in the city’s water and sewage rates.
Salida Finance Director Aimee Tihonovich told council that the planned hikes are 3 percent for water and 4.5 percent for sewer.
The Salida City Council will conduct a regular meeting tonight beginning at 6 pm.
Council will consider the annexation of 2 acres at 6906 Vandaveer Ranch Road, will vote on an ordinance amending the municipal code regarding multiple principal structures and will hold a public hearing on the 2020 budget.
A get-together to show appreciation for out-going council members Mike Bowers and Cheryl Brown-Kavacic will take place before the regular meeting at 5:30 pm.
