Dorothea Nell Nollkamper, age 97, of Salida, passed away on June 9, 2024 at Columbine Manor Care Center in Salida.
Mrs. Nollkamper was born December 25, 1926 in Yoakum, Texas to Frank and Hattie (Dew) McGrew. Mrs. Nollkamper was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Lovey Mae Bradberry, her brother Frank T. Mcgrew and her husband for 73 years Eugene A. Nollkamper. She is survived by her son Aaron Wade Nollkamper of Salida, daughter Bongeren Sheddrick of Salida, CO, 4 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
“Dottie” and her husband Gene purchased their first home in Salida in 1972. She was a past member of the Temple Baptist Church in Salida and was a very popular local artist in the area and loved floral design.
Graveside services were held at 10:00 AM Thursday June 13, 2024 at Fairview Cemetery.
