The local cross country seasons were fantastic, and it shows in the amount of kids who were named to All-State from the local teams.
In 2A, Mallory Salazar led the way with a first team honor for Buena Vista. The Demons also saw Molly McMurry join Lake County’s Adele Horning on the second team and Salida’s Quinn Smith was named honorable mention at 3A.
For the boys, Custer County’s Micah Zeller was the only first team representative, with Buena Vista’s Roston Sherlock earning the only second team nod as well. Lake County saw Fabian Jimenez and Connor Lenhard earn honorable mentions along with Salida’s Bean Minor and Elijah Wilcox.
