Did someone get footage of Bigfoot here in Colorado? If you believe the video that’s been going viral… they just may have.
According to Out There Colorado, Shannon and Stetson Parker were celebrating their 10th anniversary by taking a train ride on the Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad for some sightseeing. At some point, they noticed movement out the window and started filming. Whatever they captured, you can see it walking on two legs at the start of the video, then squats down as if trying to hide.
Admittedly, it does resemble what many eyewitnesses describe as the legendary “Bigfoot”, or, at least, someone in a Bigfoot suit. Some online claim it’s just a bear while others say it might actually be a hunter in a camouflage ghillie suit. According to the Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad’s website, the area where the footage was taken is a designated wilderness area between Rockwood and Silverton with no motorized access.
In an interview, Stetson Parker claims he asked the conductor if the train company planned an elaborate prank for Halloween, but they said they had nothing to do with the sighting.
While sightings of the legendary creature aren’t as common in Colorado as they are in the Pacific Northwest, there have been over 100 recorded sightings in the Centennial State. That includes four that happened in Chaffee County.
