Chaffee County Public Health has expanded its clinical services to include free sexually transmitted infection testing.

Chaffee County Public Health has launched a new program and website, GetTestedChaffee.com, in an attempt to provide a central resource of options for STI testing in the county.

Testing is available by appointment at the Touber Building in Salida on Wednesday afternoons. To make an appointment, call 719-539-4510. The testing is free to everyone. Results are confidential, and clients will be provided assistance with follow-up care if necessary.

Free STI testing is also available through the Chaffee Community Clinic, which operates out of the Salida United Methodist Church parking lot on Monday afternoons, and starting in July, out of the Buena Vista County annex on Linderman Avenue Tuesday afternoons.

No appointment is needed at the Chaffee Community Clinic.
