Jeff Lindsey, the lead prosecutor in the Barry Morphew murder case has told KKTV that he is “moving on.” 

The murder case is set to go to trial in May 2022. Morphew is accused of killing his wife, Suzanne, who went missing on Mother’s Day 2020.  To date, her body has not been found.   

Lindsey is a senior deputy district attorney in Chaffee County and will be joining the District Attorney’s Office in Pueblo. His first day at his new job is November 5th.

District Attorney Linda Stanley says her office is sad and disappointed that Lindsey will no longer be part of the office.  Stanley adds she believes the trial will continue as planned.
