Chaffee County Public Health is reporting 31 new positive cases of Covid-19 in the last 7 days, 53 in the last 14 days for a 2-week positivity rate of 5.48 percent.
None of the new cases required hospitalization, all are resting at home.
Heart of the Rockies Regional Medical Center currently has no Covid-19 patients and is at 40 percent capacity.
Chaffee County Public Health has changed their testing schedule. Testing is now available Monday through Friday in Salida from 10:30 am to 12 noon at the Touber Building and on Wednesdays in Buena Vista at the Annex.
All tests are now a mouth swab and results are usually available in 48-72 hours.
Testing is by appointment only. Appointments must be made the day before testing is held. To be screened and scheduled, call Public Health at 539-4510.
The San Luis Valley has 217 known active Covid-19 cases including 39 in Saguache County and 114 in Alamosa County.
Lake County has a positivity rate of almost 13 percent but is being allowed to remain in Safer at Home level 2. The state health department will reevaluate Lake County restrictions on Monday.
South Park High School has its first confirmed positive case with a student. The student has not been in school since last Thursday but did attend the football game last Friday. Contact tracing is being conducted to identify individuals who had close contact with the student and will notify those who may need to quarantine.
Governor Jared Polis is asking all Coloradans to cancel holiday plans with those outside your household. He is asking you to do the following during the month of November: Only socially interact with people in your household, keep your distance, and wear a mask.
Colorado is moving 12 more counties to the state’s second highest level of Covid-19 restrictions in the coming days, meaning at least 27 counties will be a step away from lockdown if they don’t slow the surging transmission of the coronavirus.
