Chaffee County Clerk Lori Mitchell is reporting that 639 mail ballots were returned yesterday and 112 have voted in person for a total of 10,516 votes cast so far for the general election, or 69%.    

If you have not yet returned your general election ballot, don’t mail it.       

Drop off your ballot at one of the secure drop boxes or vote in-person at a polling place to ensure your vote is counted.   

The drive through voter center outside the Chaffee County Courthouse on Crestone Avenue in Salida is open 8 am to 4:30 today and tomorrow, 8 am to 12 noon on Saturday.     

Two more vote centers will open on Monday and Tuesday, at the Fairgrounds and the Buena Vista Community Center.  Monday hours will be 10 am to 4:30 pm, 7 am to 7 pm on Tuesday.       

You can register to vote up to and on Election Day.       

Ballots must be received by 7pm on Tuesday, November 3.
