The day started off brilliantly for Chandler Smethers, as the Buena Vista junior was a paltry 1 over after 4 holes at Dos Rios Golf Club in Gunnison on Monday.
The round would see a few highs and lows, including a pair of birdies joined along with an ugly quad-bogey on his 7th hole of the day.
By days end, the 88 (+17) ended up putting Chandler in a tie for 61st out of 84 golfers in the field.
