Chaffee County has relaxed the rules on large gatherings, and that’s allowing the fairgrounds to begin offering reservations on a limited bases.
There are two main buildings available for rentals, and groups of up to 100 are allowed indoors and up to 175 are now allowed to congregate outdoors.
Event Coordinator Miki Hodge says they have already been able to save a few weddings, as well as have seen some of their regular groups come through to stay.
The fairgrounds are also opening for RV space as well.
The opening for larger groups will also mean that the 4-H livestock judging and auction will have a live portion instead of all being online this year.
If you are interested in talking to someone about availablility of the grounds, you can contact Miki Hodges at 719-539-6151 or visit www.chaffeecounty.org and click on the fairgrounds tab.
