There have been 41 cases at Columbine Manor in Salida.
Heart of the Rockies Regional Medical Center is operating at 48% capacity, or 12 beds out of 25, and is treating 4 COVID-19 patients.
Four people have died from COVID-19 in Chaffee County.
Custer County is reporting 2 cases of COVID-19
Lake County Public Health is reporting 4 positive cases of COVID-19.
Fremont County has 9 positive cases.
Gunnison County has 101 positive cases.
At least 357 people now have died from the coronavirus, as outbreaks at nursing homes and long-term care facilities continue to rise.
Health officials have confirmed 83 outbreaks at elderly care facilities, as total cases in the state neared 8,300.
Over 1,600 people have been hospitalized with COVID-19 since the outbreak entered Colorado last month, though more than 500 individuals have recovered and have been released from Colorado hospitals over the past three days.
The 28 additional deaths announced yesterday include a third person in their 20s. Still, the vast majority of Coloradans who’ve died from COVID-19—90 percent of the state’s total—are over 60.
Governor Jared Polis said at a new conference yesterday that we should expect some level of social distancing for months to come, outlining steps the state is taking to reopen society.
Public health officials said positive COVID-19 cases are plateauing, with the volume of hospitalizations leveling off. Polis said the state needs to acquire more testing capabilities along with better tracing operations and more health care capacity and equipment before some businesses can be reopened.
