At least 5 people are dead and another 25 injured after a mass shooting inside a Colorado Springs LGBTQ nightclub Club Q.  

According to Colorado Springs police, a man walked in with a long rifle and began firing on customers and staff. 

The shooter has been identified as 22-year-old Anderson Lee Aldrich of Colorado Springs. Police say two firearms were recovered at the scene.   

Police got a call at midnight on Saturday of shots fired at the club. Emergency personnel arrived to find that customers of the club had already subdued the suspect.   

The suspect is currently being treated at a hospital.   

Authorities say this will be a federal, state, and local investigation. Colorado Springs Police have confirmed that multiple search warrants are being executed at this time.
