3,259 Ballots Already Received for the November 2nd Election

Ballots for the November 2nd Coordinated Election continue to come into the clerk’s office.   

Chaffee County Clerk and Recorder Lori Mitchell is reporting that to date 3,259 ballots have been received, or about 20 percent of registered voters in the county. Of those, 1,422 are from the Buena Vista School District and 1,837 are from the Salida School District.  In the Salida municipal election 401 have been returned from Ward 1, 331 in Ward 2 and 261 in Ward 3.   

The voter service and polling center in Salida is open at the Scout Hut in Riverside Park from 8 am to 5 pm Monday through Friday and 8 am to 12 noon on Saturday. 

The voter service and polling center in Buena Vista will open at the community center on November 1st from 10 am to 5 pm. 

Both polling places will be open from 7 am to 7 pm on Election Day. 

24-hours a day, 7-days a week ballot drop boxes are located in front of the Chaffee County Courthouse in Salida and in Buena Vista at the County Annex Building at 112 Linderman Avenue.    

All ballots must be returned to the clerk’s office by 7 pm on Election Day, November 2.
