Twenty-Two flights were diverted from Denver to the Colorado Springs Airport last night due to “significant turbulence.”
The first diverted flight arrived at about 4:40 p.m. Monday, according to the airport.
As of 8:45 p.m., five passengers had received medical attention and one passenger was taken to the hospital, the airport said.
All diverted flights had departed from the Colorado Springs Airport as of 10 p.m. Monday.
The Colorado Springs Fire Department and other emergency crews provided assistance to passengers during the diversion event.
