The Alliance is excited to announce that our 2nd Annual Riverside Ramble event will take place on Saturday, October 11th, in Salida. The Riverside Ramble is an accessible fun run that celebrates survivors in the outdoor community and emphasizes the necessity for safety in all spaces. Participants will start and finish their run (or walk) just down the block from the High Side! Bar & Grill (300 W. Sackett) and can choose whether to venture on a 2-mile loop to Sands Lake and back or a 5-mile loop to Frantz Lake and back. The run will be followed by an afterparty at the High Side! Bar & Grill, where we will enjoy live music and drinks. For over 40 years, The Alliance has empowered individuals beyond domestic and sexual violence through direct services, education, and social change. We serve all of Chaffee, Western Fremont, and Northern Saguache Counties. The Riverside Ramble is an important source of funding for The Alliance. Proceeds from the event directly benefit the Alliance’s programs and services, including a 24/7 help line, emergency safe housing, Support Groups and Individual Counseling opportunities, restorative practices, youth prevention education, and more. In 2025, The Alliance is expanding services to go beyond survivors’ immediate needs and walk beside them in their path toward breaking the cycle of violence and pursuing healing and justice. Expanded services include supervised visitation and safe exchange for parents and children impacted by domestic and sexual violence, restorative justice practices to heal harms
resulting from violence, and organizing service industry and outdoor recreation staff to recognize and prevent sexual violence in the workplace. Registration for the Riverside Ramble is live! Please sign up at this link –
