This week’s Pet of the Week is Switch, a sweet and affectionate 4-year-old cat currently in the care of Ark-Valley Humane Society.
Switch’s story began on a cold winter night when she was accidentally caught in a humane trap while AVHS was working to rescue another cat. Thankfully, the original cat was also safely found. After staff searched for Switch’s owners with no success, she officially came under the shelter’s care.
While Switch’s past is a mystery, one thing is clear, she has all the loving tendencies of a house cat. Switch is very affectionate, enjoys human attention, and even likes to be held, which is a rare treat for many cats. She has been thriving in the warm, safe environment at AVHS, but what she truly wants is a home of her very own.
