Former Salida Mayor P.T. Wood has filed paperwork to run for the Chaffee County Board of Commissioners.
Wood filed with the Colorado Secretary of State yesterday to run for the District 3 seat currently held by Rusty Granzella who has decided not to run for re-election. Wood has filed as a Democrat.
Two others have filed to run for District 3 Chaffee County Commissioner: James Becker and Alison Brown-both Republicans.
There are no other contested races so far in other Chaffee County offices.
Richard Allen Roberts has filed for Assessor, Jeff Graf is running for re-election as Coroner, Lori Mitchel for Clerk and Recorder and John Spezze for Chaffee County Sheriff.
Danny “Dan R” Ridenour has been in radio and television broadcasting for over 40 years, starting as a senior in high school in Rogers, Arkansas. His radio career has had stops in Nashville, Memphis, Oklahoma, and eventually, Colorado. Dan enjoys being involved in the community, having been a member of the Upper Arkansas Service Club and is currently on the board of directors for the Salida Community Center and is a member of the Chaffee County Fair Committee. He and his wife Carrie spend their days doing everything the mountains have to offer: hiking, camping, fishing and skiing. They've raised 3 children and have 2 grandchildren.
