The National Wreaths Across America event, honoring veterans through the placement of wreaths on their graves, will take place this Saturday, December 16th, at two local cemeteries:
- Fairview Cemetery in Salida at 10 AM
- Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Buena Vista at 1 PM
At Mt. Olivet Cemetery, more than 350 wreaths will be laid, and volunteers are needed to assist with this meaningful tradition. If you’d like to help in Buena Vista, please contact Melanie Roth at 719-221-1340.
This event is part of a national project organized locally by the Chipeta Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution.
