Colorado Parks and Wildlife (CPW) reports that a collared gray wolf has been “exploring” southern Colorado, with its most recent movements tracked into Fremont County.

The latest wolf activity map, covering December 22nd to January 21st, shows the wolf traveling south through Lake, Park, and Chaffee Counties before reaching Fremont County. The wolf appears to have ventured into a watershed extending into the region.

CPW publishes monthly updates on the movements of collared wolves as part of its efforts to monitor wolf activity and manage reintroduction programs.
