A Red Flag Fire Warning is in effect today due to gusty winds, low humidity, and dry fuels.
Winds will be gusting to 35 mph out of the southwest. Humidity will be as low as 10 percent. Conditions will be favorable for the rapid ignition, growth, and spread of wildfires.
The valley will see a high of 73. Look for an overnight low of 33.
Leadville, Fairplay and the mountains can expect a high of 57, a low of 21.
A chance of snow, heavy snow, is in the forecast for tomorrow, 3-5 inches possible in the higher elevations.
An Air Quality Health Advisory remains in effect.
Chaffee County, BLM and Forest Service lands are all under Stage II Fire Restrictions that prohibit all open fires.
