Red Flag Warning Issued for Wednesday, October 2

A Red Flag Fire Warning has again been issued for today.

Winds will be gusting to 45 mph out of the southwest, relative humidity will be as low as 6 percent. Conditions today will be favorable for the rapid ignition, growth and spread of fires.

The valley will see a high of 71.  Look for an overnight low of 35.

Leadville, Fairplay and the mountains can expect a high of 55, a low of 23.

An Air Quality Health Advisory has been issued by the Colorado Department of Public Health due to smoke from the Decker Fire

If smoke becomes thick in your neighborhood you will want to remain indoors. This is especially true for those with heart disease, respiratory illnesses, the very young and elderly.

If visibility is less than 5 miles, smoke has reached levels that are unhealthy.
