Salida and Buena Vista can expect a sunny high of 49 today. Look for an overnight low of 23.
The San Luis Valley will see a high of 37, a low of 17.
Leadville and Fairplay will warm up to 35 with a low of 9.
A cold front moves through tonight bringing much cooler air, windy conditions and a chance of 1 to 2 inches of snow to the mountains.
Strong wind gusts are expected in some locations Thursday, especially over portions of the far southeast plains where gusts of 40 to 55 mph will be possible, and in the Sawatch and Mosquito ranges where gusts around 70 mph will be possible. The lower elevations of Chaffee County may also see gusts around 50 mph.
