The 12th Annual Valley Visions Art Showcase will be held May 2-5th!

Applications will are now open! Be sure to check out all show requirements before applying. First come first serve! We had to turn people away last year. Don’t let that be you! Applications close April 17th!

If you’re passionate about supporting the Arts in Salida, we hope you’ll befriend Salida Council for the Arts. Introducing our new annual giving program: Friends of Salida Council for the Arts. This new program replaces Art Lovers and is designed to help us achieve some big new goals for 2023 and beyond:

Annual subscriptions of $100 and over, receive a special invitation to the early viewing party for the Valley Visions show, before the opening night with the public.

The Salida Council for the Arts is a 501c3 non-profit tax ID# 43-1990391. Our mission is to enrich the cultural life of our community by nurturing and supporting the arts; to increase the community’s awareness of and appreciation for the arts; to promote and encourage arts education; and to serve as liaison between the arts, business, government, and educational institutions.

Danny “Dan R” Ridenour has been in radio and television broadcasting for over 40 years, starting as a senior in high school in Rogers, Arkansas. His radio career has had stops in Nashville, Memphis, Oklahoma, and eventually, Colorado. Dan enjoys being involved in the community, having been a member of the Upper Arkansas Service Club and is currently on the board of directors for the Salida Community Center and is a member of the Chaffee County Fair Committee. He and his wife Carrie spend their days doing everything the mountains have to offer: hiking, camping, fishing and skiing. They've raised 3 children and have 2 grandchildren.
