Chaffee County Public Health has launched their new online scheduler for Covid-19 vaccine clinics at chaffeecounty.rsvpify.com.
Due to overwhelming demand for the vaccine, the schedule is full until February 2nd. This week, Public Health will release appointments beyond that date once they are confident enough supplies will be on hand.
Those in Phase 1A and the beginning of Phase 1B, including those 70 plus, will be able to register.
Chaffee County Public Health says this new tool will better prepare the community for future phases of distribution. Public Health will be able to improve traffic, inventory and time management.
Over the next several weeks, Public Health will be vaccinating any healthcare worker or responder who falls within 1A and 1B and people 70 and older.
The vaccine clinics are drive-through clinics and are held Mondays and Tuesdays from 1 to 4 pm. The vaccine clinics are for Chaffee County residents only.
To date, Chaffee County Public Health has administered 488 vaccines in less than two weeks.
Phase 2 is estimated to begin later this winter. Phase 3 will begin as early as spring.
