Chaffee County Clerk Lori Mitchell is reporting that as of November 1st, 4,796 ballots had been returned to the clerk’s office.
Of those, 41% have been from Unaffiliated voters, 31% from Democrats and 27% from Republican voters.
It is too late to mail your ballot. Voters can visit a vote center or come to the election office to get a ballot or drop off a ballot.
The Salida vote center is open at the Scout Hut 8 am to 4 pm Monday through Friday and 8 am to noon on Saturday. The Buena Vista vote center at the Community Center will open Friday. The vote center in Poncha Springs will be open on Election Day.
