A strong storm system will move across the area today, bringing multiple weather hazards. Mountain snow can be expected. 

3-5 inches will be possible in the higher elevations in Central Colorado.  Up to a foot of new snow is expected over southwest Colorado. 

A rain/snow mix will fall over the valleys with little to no accumulation. 

Below freezing temperatures for overnight lows will be in place for the rest of the week. 

Salida and Buena Vista can expect a high of 49 today. Look for an overnight low of 29.

The San Luis Valley will see a high of 45, a low of 23.

Leadville and Fairplay will warm up to 35 with a low of 17.
