Another sunny and mild day for the first day of Winter. A new snow producing system is expected to move into the area starting Saturday.

Salida and Buena Vista will see a high of 51. A low of 21.
The San Luis Valley can expect a high of 41, a low of 17.
Leadville and Fairplay look for a high of 37 with a low of 15.

Looking ahead, the National Weather Service is tracking several snow producing storm systems that are expected to move across the Rockies starting Saturday and continuing through Christmas Day Monday. These storms will bring the potential for moderate to heavy snow accumulations across the Continental Divide.
