A 54-year-old truck driver from Texas, Stephen Gomez of Rosharon, died in a one-vehicle crash on Wednesday near Garfield on Highway 50.
According to the Colorado State Patrol, Gomez failed to negotiate a right-hand turn and slid down a steep embankment, resulting in the fatal accident.
