Terry’s Test Drive: The 2019 Jeep Renegade Trailhawk [Video]

This week Town & Country Auto hooked us up with the 2019 Jeep Renegade Trailhawk. Are you ready for this week’s Test Drive?

The Restyled 2019 Jeep Renegade is brimming with personality. It may look compact, but Jeep crammed in a whole lot of SUV in there. With the available My Sky Roof, trail rated capability, and legendary 4×4 capability, this vehicle proudly wears the Jeep badge. Available in Trailhawk, Limited, Altitude, Latitude, Sport editions, the Renegade is the perfect 4×4 for the Arkansas River Valley.

KC from Town & Country gave us a look around the Renegade, and a peek at some of the awesome hidden Easter Eggs.

The Test Drive

The Renegade is the entry point into the Jeep lifestyle at a price most can afford, with legitimate off-road abilities and striking styling. The compact size allows the Renegade to navigate the concrete jungle as easily as the most aggressive trails. The littlest Jeep is also available with advanced all-wheel-drive systems and can tow up to 2,000 pounds. And just sliding into the driver’s seat, you can tell that after 78 years of design, Jeep knows all the right buttons to push.

Of all the vehicles I’ve reviewed for Town & Country Auto, the Jeep Renegade is the only one I truly want to own. While the others were fun, powerful, and stylish, the Renegade was more than all that. It was steeped in Jeep heritage… and it’s awesome.

During the test drive, I loaded up my family and headed out on the back trails. With the advanced all-wheel drive, the Renegade easily chewed through everything I threw at it.

I think my son Jack summed up the Jeep Renegade best when he said, “this thing is a mountain goat, dad.”

Indeed it is.
