A single-engine Cessna airplane with four people on board crashed in the mountains of Teller County on Saturday.
The Teller County Coroner has now confirmed that those four passengers have died. The identities of the four have not been released.
According to the Federal Aviation Administration, the aircraft left Fremont County Airport heading for the Centennial Airport in Denver when it went down Saturday morning. Deputies with the Teller County Sheriff’s Office located the wreckage in a remote area off Phantom Canyon Road near the Teller/Fremont County line early Sunday morning.
