A suspect has been arrested in a 55-year-old cold case in Fremont County. 86-year-old Keith Emmanuel Smith has been arrested and faces a second-degree murder charge.
The Florence Police Department said Smith’s arrest is in connection to the killing a 14-month-old baby back in 1967, identified as Roxanne Archuletta.
Smith has been living in Florence for decades and was arrested at his home next to Pioneer Park. He was recently indicted by a grand jury for the murder. He is being held in the Fremont County Jail on a $10,000 cash bond.
