Susan Grannell of Poncha Springs passed away peacefully on May 18.

She was born in Oakland California to her parents Andrew and Jessica Mullins and grew up there. She lived in San Diego, California and San Antonio, Texas before moving to Evergreen, Colorado. She met and married her husband Jerry there and worked at the Hiwan Homestead Museum for more than twenty years.

She moved to Poncha Springs in 2018. She was an avid quilter and made many quilts for her family and friends and for the sheriffs to keep in their cars for accident victims. She loved sewing.

She was a member of the ESA sorority. She loved traveling and had friends in many states and countries. She loved music and traveled to many music festivals with her husband Jerry, a musician. She was always a happy and loving soul, everyone who met her was an instant friend.

The family plans no services at this time.
