Happy New Year! A new low-pressure system will produce moderate to heavy snowfall across the region today and into Monday.
Total snow accumulations of 1 to 2 feet are possible through Monday over the divide with 1 to 3 inches in the valley. Drifting and blowing snow will make travel hazardous over area mountain passes.
Salida and Buena Vista will reach a high of 46 today. Expect a low of 31.
The San Luis Valley will see a high of 43. Look for a low of 23 tonight.
Leadville and Fairplay will reach a high of 34. Look for a low of 18.
