Bitter cold temperatures will occur across the region today and tonight. Dangerous wind chill values will range between 15 and 25 degrees below zero.
Salida and Buena Vista can expect a high of 13 today. Look for an overnight low of 1.
The San Luis Valley will see a high of 17, a low of 3.
Leadville and Fairplay will warm up to 15 with a low of -5.
There is an Avalanche Warning in effect. Avalanche conditions are extremely dangerous. Avoid traveling in avalanche terrain including the runouts of avalanche paths.
