Expect rain showers and thunderstorms to develop after 3 p.m. today, with the potential for severe storms in the mountains and valleys that could bring hail and strong winds.

In the Upper Arkansas, it’ll be partly sunny with a high near 80, and then dipping to around 51 tonight with partly cloudy skies.

The San Luis Valley will also see partly sunny skies, reaching a high of 74 and cooling to about 48 for your overnight temperature.

In the High Country, it’ll stay partly sunny with a high near 62, and temperatures will drop to a low of 40 tonight.

Looking ahead to the start of the week, anticipate wet conditions each afternoon along with partly cloudy skies and possibly gusty winds.
