Summer is over, at least Meteorological Summer, and so is another Seven Peaks Music Festival.
Close to 15,000 people converged on Buena Vista for the 3-day country music concert. The mass exodus yesterday caused stalled traffic on Highways 285 and 24 with an hour or more wait to get out of town.
The festival’s headliner, Dierks Bentley, didn’t get out of town without first meeting a Colorado Parks and Wildlife Ranger. Bentley was ticketed for fishing Cottonwood Creek without a license.
Bentley had kind words for CPW saying on Twitter, “Actually appreciate the ticket. Appreciate what Colorado Parks and Wildlife does. I’ll be all licensed up next time!” Bentley paid his $140 fine.
