The Greater Arkansas River Nature Association (GARNA) and the Collegiate Peaks chapter of Trout Unlimited are offering an exciting stream ecology and fly-fishing program for middle school students in Buena Vista at the end of the month.

Program Details:

  • Program Name: Stream Explorers
  • Target Audience: 5th through 8th graders
  • Dates: Mondays and Tuesdays, July 22, 23, 29, and 30
  • Location: Buena Vista, with shuttle transportation provided to a fishing location on the last class
  • Focus Areas: Stream ecology, fish anatomy and habitat, fly tying, and fly fishing
  • Special Offer: Students who complete all four sessions will receive a Trout Unlimited youth membership
  • Cost: Free, but registration is required
  • Registration: Visit garna.org to register (space is limited)
