The Colorado Department of Revenue Division of Motor Vehicles has informed county clerks across the state to expect a delay in the mailing of motor vehicle renewals.
There is a two-week delay due to staff shortages.
According to the Department of Revenue, anyone who has renewed their vehicle registration online on or after July 23 can expect the delay in receiving their registration in the mail.
To avoid a citation, those waiting for their registration should carry their receipt with them as proof.
