Chaffee County Emergency Services alerted us that the smoke people are seeing above Methodist Mountain is from a fire in the San Luis Valley.
The smoke is from a fire on the Ox Cart Ranch in the San Luis Valley. The Chaffee County Sheriff’s office notes that the fire has been burning for several days now.
Currently there is no danger to Chaffee County and the Forest Service is on scene.
