The search continues for a motorcyclist who was thrown into the Arkansas River after a crash on Highway 50 last week.

The Colorado State Patrol says the motorcyclist has not been found and is presumed dead.

On Thursday, June 22nd, a vehicle was traveling west on Highway 50 when the motorcycle hit the vehicle, ejecting the driver into the river. Search and rescue efforts began but no body has been recovered.

Colorado State Patrol said excessive speed was suspected as a cause of the crash. The incident, however, remains under investigation.
