Severe Storm Warning is in effect this afternoon and into tonight across the San Luis Valley with hail and wind gusts possibly reaching up to 70mph. Rain showers and thunderstorms are expected throughout the day.
In the Upper Arkansas Valley, we will have a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms, with a High near 69. Breezy, with winds reaching up to 20 mph. Then back down to a low around 40 overnight.
San Luis Valley is expecting severe storm warnings with a High near 64. Then back down to a low near 36 tonight.
In the High Country, Leadville & Fairplay , showers and thunderstorms are also expected throughout the day with a High near 58. Tonight, we will see more rain, turning to snow showers throughout the evening, with a low around 33.
For the rest of the weekend; Showers and thunderstorms will continue with the first snow of the season returning to the High Country tonight through Tuesday.
