Snow showers are expected throughout the day, with light showers in the morning across the plains, and then heavier snow showers along the mountains and valleys during the afternoon.
In the Upper Arkansas Valley, will see a chance of snow showers, mainly after noon. Mostly sunny, with a high near 44. Winds gusts could get as high as 30 mph today. Then dropping to a low around 17 overnight.
San Luis Valley will also have A chance of snow showers, mainly after 10am. Mostly sunny, with a high near 40. Breezy, with winds up to 20mph today. Then dropping to a low around 9 degrees overnight.
In Leadville & Fairplay will see Snow showers today, mainly after 9am. Some thunder is also possible. With a High near 25. Winds will stay around 5 to 15 mph. Then back down to a chilly low of 5 degrees tonight, with wind chill values as low as -10.
Throughout the rest of the weekend, we will continue to see more snowfall in the southern region while the Upper Arkansas Valley will see warm temperatures and sunshine on Sunday.
