The Salida City Council this week directed City staff to draft a resolution to reinstate the F Street closure with the lowest financial impacts from Sackett Avenue to 2nd Street and to identify additional ADA parking spots that are lost as part of the closure.

In other business, council appointed Kristi Jefferson as the new City Clerk.  Kristi has been an employee of the City for 23 years.  Council also appointed Lisa Scanga as the new City Prosecutor.

The Salida City Council also approved a resolution declaring a vacancy on the council for Ward 3.  City Councilman Harald Kasper announced his resignation from his seat in early February.

Residents of Ward 3 are invited to apply to fill the vacancy for the remainder of Kasper’s term, which ends in November of 2025.
