The Salida Tree Board is seeking homeowners interested in helping to replant and grow our urban forest by adopting a young tree along the roadway.
The board will have a tree planted in the city right-of-way in front of the adopters home, and in return, the homeowner must agree to water the tree regularly.
Tree adoption applications are available at the Salida Regional Library and City Hall and may be downloaded from the city website at cityofsalida.com. Successful applicants are asked to contribute $50 to help defray the cost of purchasing and planting the new tree.
