A Salida native enters his 14th season as a Major League Baseball Umpire.

Salida native Chris Guccione is in his 14th season as a Major League Umpire, and his 21st season at the AAA level up, but the 2020 season has been like nothing he has experienced before.

From the summer where he was able to spend more time with his family than ever before, to new travel requirements and longer stays in one place, this season has been full of changes both good and bad.

We had a chance to talk with Guccione about the early season experience for umpires at the MLB level and more in this interview. Check out the conversation between Caleb and Chris here!
