Salida Mountain Trails (SMT) is hosting a one-night-only concert and psychedelic light show featuring local legends, Roundhouse Assembly! Event proceeds will benefit SMT and the nonprofit’s mission to create and maintain trails, steward public lands, and promote a vibrant trail community.
“We’re grateful for Roundhouse Assembly’s generosity in organizing this far-out fundraiser,” said Jon Terbush, Director of Salida Mountain Trails. “The band puts on unbelievable performances. If you dig good tunes and Salida’s trails, you don’t want to miss this show.” The concert will take place Saturday, April 19, at the SteamPlant. In addition to the music, the event will feature an “ecstatic dance light show” courtesy of Lane Willson.
Dancing is not only allowed, but encouraged. This event will coincide with Bicycle Day, a fitting holiday for a community full of bicyclists and Deadheads. Roundhouse Assembly is a Salida-based band whose influences include Grateful Dead, The Band, and the Allman Brothers Band. Roundhouse’s sets showcase the ensemble’s passion for improvisational jams and vocal harmonies that get the dance floor shaking. “Please join us for a Bicycle Day celebration to raise funds for our amazing trail system,” said Aaron
Robbins, of Roundhouse Assembly. “Whoa-oh, what I want to know, will you come with me?”
