Salida Fire Fighters Announce Tom Marcello Scholarship

The Salida Professional Fire Fighters Local 3579 Union is sponsoring a scholarship of $1,000 to honor fallen firefighter Tom Marcello. Marcello passed away in 2015 after a long battle with cancer.     

To qualify for the scholarship, you must be a Chaffee or Fremont County resident and plan on attending an EMT course, Structure Fire Academy, Wildland Academy, or pursuing a degree in these programs.     

Applications may be dropped off or mailed to the Salida Professional Firefighters Local 3579 at 124 E Street in Salida. Deadline to apply is July 1st.
