Salida-based filmmaker Sarah Hamilton is hosting a screening of her award-winning short documentaries, River Mamma and Dolly’s Song, tonight at the SteamPlant.
The screening is a fundraiser to support Hamilton’s upcoming project in India, where she will document the work and lives of the first-ever all-female guide school in the country.
The event begins at 6 p.m., with a suggested donation of $20. Hamilton, a director and editor with more than a decade of experience in the film industry, has received recognition for her work exploring gender and the outdoors.
Donations from the screening will help cover Hamilton’s travel expenses for her latest project.
