The Salida City Council approved on first reading an ordinance that proposes changes to the Vandaveer Ranch Planned Area Development at their regular meeting last night. The changes were prompted by the proposed Confluent Park Subdivision.
A second reading and public hearing on the changes will be held at council’s January 21st meeting.
Council also approved an emergency ordinance that woulod set compensation for Salida Municipal Court Judge Cheryl Hardy-Moore. Hardy-Moore will be paid $1,700 per month, an increase of $250.
During last night’s meeting, the Mayor and Council members paid tribute to City Clerk Sonia Walter who was killed in a car accident on Sunday. Kathy Smith will assume the clerk duties.
